Travel requirements to and from Belize
Travelers must have a valid passport.
COVID rules: effective July 12, 2022, the Belize Tourism Board advises that the Government of Belize has decided to remove all public health measures at the points of entry in Belize (land and sea).
Foreign travelers are no longer required to have a minimum number of nights stay in Belize.
Persons entering Belize through the Belize Northern Border shall enter through the Chetumal Bridge only.
The Western Border and the Northern Border shall be open to foreign tourists from: 6:00 am – 10:00 pm. All Sea Ports will be open from 6:00 am- 4:00pm.
Traveling from Seattle area
Alaska Airlines currently has direct flights from Seattle to Belize City, which makes traveling from the Pacific Northwest very easy
How to get to Maya Heights Resorts from Belize City or Dangriga
Maya Heights guests traveling to Belize by air will land at the Philip Goldson International Airport. There are two local airlines available (Maya Island Air or Tropic Air) that can transfer you to Dangriga Town municipal airstrip (cost is about US$ 150). This flight can be arranged prior to your arrival by our front desk agent once we have your international flight itinerary.
This transfer is a scenic 25-minute journey that will take you over the coastline of Belize and over the great barrier reef.
Once you are in Dangriga town our welcoming representative will meet and assist you in meeting your shuttle to Maya Heights for a fee. Fresh cool scented towels and cold drinking water is available on the shuttle for your convenience.
Guests also have the option to rent a vehicle at the Philip Goldson International Airport upon arrival in Belize. The drive to Maya Heights would take you about 2.5 hrs. Kindly advise our front desk agent so we can coordinate your travel guidance for safety consideration.

Check James Busline online. During the day every two hours. The bus will stop at our road entrance along the Southern Highway or Hopkins Juncion, which is about 500 feet away. Call us and we will pick you up.
